Apple recently released the VisionOS SDK that you can test using Xcode on Mac. The SDK reveals interesting and new details on the platform and how users would be able to use certain features of the VisionOS on different occasions. According to the latest, Apple's Vision Pro will feature a Travel Mode for an enhanced viewing experience along with a Visual Search Mode that can objects, text, and much more.

Apple's Vision Pro will come with a Travel Mode with various prerequisites and the helpful Visual Search for detecting items and text
Starting with the Visual Search, the Vision Pro headset will be able to detect items and text around them. Furthermore, the headset will show information related to a specific item and give you the ability to interact with text, allowing you to copy printed text and paste it into apps. Moreover, you will also have the option to translate 17 different languages.

Other than Visual Search, the Vision Pro will also house an unannounced Travel Mode. The mode is specifically designed for traveling, taking into account the ambiance or the environment that you are interacting with. For instance, you will get a dedicated mode in the confined space of an airplane cabin. Since you have limited space in the cabin, VisionOS will offer a wide range of options for you to choose from. To access the mode, there are some prerequisites that you have to follow. The Travel Mode will offer functionality based on the limited space (via MacRumors).

The text strings were found in VisionOS beta 1, which also details that while Travel Mode is turned on, some awareness features will be turned off. This will turn off some sensors that allow for awareness features to work. Additionally, the string text also indicates that your representation will be turned off as well. If you have any kind of avatars, they will not be available. Furthermore, gaze tracking will also be compromised due to your adjusted position based on your seating. The Vision Pro will also request you to stay still when the Travel Mode is enabled.

Take note that VisionOS is in its early beta phase, and the device is expected to go on sale early next year. What this means is that developers have a few months to get used to the new SDK and beta in order to perfect their apps for the headset.
